Ebenalp is a popular destination for hiking, with several trails leading to the summit. The mountain is known for its diverse flora and fauna, including rare alpine plant species and ibex, a type of wild mountain goat.
The mountain has been considered a sacred site since ancient times, and was an important place of worship for the Celts and later the Romans.
